Hullaballoo in the Blogosphere

It's just not right.
In fact, I'd go so far as to say its wrong.
And also, Stupid.
What was IIPM thinking? It came out with all guns blazing to silence a 'tiny yellow magazine of no consequence' and met the full fury of the blogging world.
Strong arm tactics, legal (sic!) notices, anonymous commenting and the utter lack of mainstream media coverage (guess who spent crores on advertising in these newspapers over the last quarters?)

Still wondering who Rashmi Bansal, Gaurav Sabnis, IIPM are? Know More

hello there, i am a student who came very close to joining amity, but was later dissuaded from doing so by a very articulate IIPM employee. But thank god i did well in my tests and managed a Tapmi convert. I pity these poor students who have joined such institutes on the back of such delusive promises. arindham choudhari is a cold blooded hawkster.

Arun, I don't even understand what the institute is trying to do apart from weaken an already damaged brand equity through this whole drama.

I haven't actually seen Amity or IIPM, but from what i hear, you're lucky to have escaped the whole hungama :)

yeah, if they had not responded with such ferocity the issue would have probably died away. whoever came up with this hairbrained idea to quash all forms of internet dissent must be in hot water now. believe me if it werent for that ridiculous legal notice , most of us wouldn't have known of this scandal.

The part that irritates me is that the print media has been silent on this issue. NDTV had a report on this scandal, but broadsheets have been mum. many of the editors of these leading newspapers appeared on the television claiming to maintain journalistic integrity but in practice, all of them are unconcerned bystanders. Most of them would prefer to be party to the sham coz of the financial windfall than choose to speak out against this conjob.

yup
esp when the party concerned is one of their biggest advertisers..

editorial integrity seems to be a sham!

Did u see F1? I remember, once in ur blog u called Renault as F1 as a fledgling, amateurish team. What do u say now? well, u can blog sometimes abt non-social issues as well. Nowadays its becoming like a Hindu editorial; analyzing all social issues.
