Growing up..

I catch a cold every time the season changes. Chennai to Ahmedabad hasn't changed that.

At home, I used to curl up in my bed with hot cocoa, blankets and a nice book. I'd 'intercom' my mom every time I wanted something and spend the week in luxury.

Today, I washed my own handkerchiefs, applied vicks on my face and went to sleep.

If this is what growing up is, then I want no part of it.

I miss my mom..

:-(

You reminded me of my days back home. I was so bossy at home specially with my mom. Used to be very picky about food....had to have a curry (rasam, dal or sambhar), a veg dish and a noveg one (normally fish....being a mallu you tend to have a lot of fish) with rice. And after coming away from home and staying with a lot of telugu roommates has brought down food to rice and rasam alone. Then I think of what I had and what I have now and miss mom a lot. (Sigh)

Its something about the winter season that always gives me the running nose, even if I am in the prime of my health.

Ah. Miss being cared for.
