Dance Like a Man

"In a city like Chennai, every family has a dancer, or atleast knows one" - from the introduction to the script of Dance Like a Man

I think to be a child in Chennai, one must go through mandatory training in Bharatnatyam (if you are a girl), violin, mridangam (if you are a boy) and carnatic vocal music...

Even though I went through all the above phases, I never really learnt to dance. I performed once on stage, and then our one dance master moved away from Muscat - and That was That. This month, after about twelve years, I again wore ghungroos and practiced dance. What Fun!

Sounds like an interesting play, too bad - geographically away.

Is there a place on the internet where the play is uploaded that we can get our hands on ?

That would be really great !

For someone who's not worn the salangai for so many years, you do look pretty much at ease.. atleast in the picture. Sigh.. you guys at IIMA are lucky. You get time to plan out something like this atleast over your hols.

Plan this in our holidays? No no no.. We did this in the middle of the term. Between midterms, TalentNite, and a godzillion submissions :-)

Hmm, I'm impressed. I've been trying to get something to happen here at ISB.. not happening! sigh.
